During a 2018 visit of the Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi to Janakpur, a version of the flag with incorrect shape and geometrical proportions was flown by officials, causing outrage on social media and with national personnel. The Flag: Nepal emoji is a flag sequence combining 🇳 Regional Indicator Symbol Letter N and 🇵 Regional Indicator Symbol Letter P. These display as a single emoji on supported platforms.
The national flag of Nepal is different from all others. This is the only flag that has a non-rectangular shape of the canvas. The banner combines a simplified combination of the two pennants of the Rana dynasties, the previous rulers of Nepal.
The flag has white, red and blue colors. Visually, the image resembles two right-angled triangles aligned from base to top. A pattern is formed that resembles a simplified image of a Christmas tree. These triangular teeth are framed in blue and filled in with red. You can also see two patterns inside: a white sun and a star with a white crescent moon.
